Best Beaches in The Bahamas

The beaches in Bahamas are the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean islands and have a vast number of people visit every single year. Located on the outer islands, these beaches are immensely popular when it comes to a wedding or honeymoon locations. The beaches are just breathtaking, with tourists relishing the experience of stretching out on the sand and gazing at the sea.

The Top Five of the Bahamas

Tahiti beach is known as the Abacos beach. Abacos is an extremely isolated beach and is the prime reason why some sun seekers search out the sands in order to rest undisturbed.

The waters are cold, and the white colored sand dunes add to the beauty of the Tahiti beach. The number of people on the beach is few because driving to the beach is not possible. One may only bike or reach the beach by boat. Abacos is regarded as the boating capital of the Bahamas, and therefore the seaway can look terribly busy.

Cat Island is located in the southern region of the Bahamas and is the home of Fernandez beach.  Crystal waters surround its white sands and the whole beach is lined with beautiful coconut palm trees and casuarinas trees.

Although Cat Island beaches do not have any significant facilities, tourists who are looking for peace and solitude seek after the beaches.

The Harbour Island beaches, known for their pink sand beaches, run throughout the eastern boundary of the island. The sands are of pale pinkish color, and the sand dunes may extend up to a distance of 5 kilometers. The pink sand beaches do have a large number of luxurious hotels and residential villas for tourists. The shore is surrounded by a coral reef that ensures exciting swimming.

The Ten Bay beach, also known as Eleuthera beach, is another famous beach. It is a small drive away from the Palmetto point. The Cotton Bay Club decided to set up a hotel in the Eleuthera beach, possesing spectacular scenic beauty. Later the hotel had to close, and the number of people coming of this beach has significantly decreased making this beach a much more secluded than before.

Xanadu beach also stands high among the five best beaches in the Bahamas. It is also known as the Grand Bahamas beach. This beach covers about 97 km of distance along the shores and has a few hotels dotted along its length. It is a beach that looks fantastic, but may not give too much desired privacy and seclusion.
